Accessibility Statement
Last updated:
1. Our Commitment
We want The Spreadsheet to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a box we've ticked once — we keep working on it as the product grows.
2. What We've Built So Far
Interactive elements have visible keyboard focus indicators, so the app can be navigated without a mouse. Form fields are labelled for screen readers. Status messages, errors, and loading states are announced to assistive technology as they change. The interface supports both light and dark themes, and follows your system preference by default.
3. Known Limitations
We haven't yet completed a formal accessibility audit against WCAG standards. Some animations do not currently respect a "reduce motion" system preference, and some charts and graphs may not have a complete text equivalent for screen reader users. We're aware of these gaps and treat them as real work to do, not edge cases to ignore.
4. Report an Issue
If you run into anything on The Spreadsheet that's difficult to use with assistive technology, please tell us at support@the-spreadsheet.com. We'll investigate and prioritise a fix.
5. Ongoing Work
As the product matures, we plan to carry out a fuller accessibility review rather than relying on ad hoc fixes. This statement will be updated as that work progresses.
