Getting started

Build your first financial picture

Start with the numbers you know, see where you stand, and invite your partner when you are ready. You can improve the detail over time.

About 10 minutes for a first snapshot

Before you begin

A few rough figures are enough

You do not need statements for everything. Bring what is easy to find and return to the rest later.

Your usual monthly take-home pay
An estimate of regular monthly spending
Approximate savings, debt, pension and investment balances
Your student loan plan, if you have one

Your spaces

Start personally. Plan together when it suits you.

Every account has a Personal workspace. If you create or join a Household, you can switch between your own records and the financial picture you manage together.

Personal

Your own planning space for records you want to manage separately.

Household

A shared space for the income, commitments, goals and assets you plan together.

The first goal is a useful overview, not a perfect financial record. Add what you know today and refine it during future reviews.
